Referencing plays a significant role in any kind of academic writing and, as a result, you need to clearly understand its formatting. Referencing is a system through which you acknowledge any sources that you have cited in the course of your assignment; you may have quoted directly or paraphrased. All referencing is generally done in alphabetic order.
Advantages of Referencing:-
Referencing proved to the reader that you have done your assignment and researched properly from respected sources and that some of your information come from respected books, journals, and other published sources. It also shows what information you have used or you want to share in your paper. It will also ensure that your assignments have been done correctly and that you don’t get accused of plagiarism when you quote other authors.
Types of Referencing
There may be a number of different referencing styles but below are the most commonly accepted ones.
